Want to be an umpire?

Interested in being an umpire for the 2018 spring/summer season umpire information?

Here’s what you need to do…

Step 1: Check eligibility

You must be a current or former baseball player 13 years old or older (by April 30, 2018), a current or former softball player age 13 years old or older (by December 31, 2017), a player that has aged out of the WMLL program, or a sibling of a current or former player.

Step 2: Apply

Complete WMLL’s online umpire application (see below).  Not everyone that applies will be selected.  Umpire commitment and availability will be key factors in the selection process

Step 3: Complete training

New & second-year umpires must attend two mandatory WMLL-approved training sessions.
•  The first session is on February 11 from 4-6 PM at Edgewood High School
•  The second is on February 18 from 4-6 PM at the Madison Ice Arena (725 Forward Drive).

All umpires are encouraged to attend the District-wide Little League umpire training session on March 11 from 3-6 PM at Edgewood High School.
