WMLL Alum Pitching for Mallards

Simon Rosenblum-Larson has pitched his way from WMLL to West High School to Harvard and now to the Madison Mallards.  See game updates below.

West Madison Little League is proud to congratulate one of our former players, Simon Rosenblum-Larson, on his being drafted to pitch for the Madison Mallards of the Northwoods League this summer. Simon, who is a right-handed starting pitcher for Harvard University during the regular season, played at West Madison Little League for a number of years, through and including the Senior League. Simon was a standout pitcher for Madison West High School where he earned honors including three-time selection to the Madison All-City team, two-time selection to the All-Conference first team, and selection to the Academic All-District team.

6/20 GAME UPDATE:  Pitching against Rockford, Simon started and went six innings, gave up only three hits and one run. Yet another no decision. He is joking that he may set a record for total innings without a decision (now at 22). He’s doing well enough that 1 run in six innings raises his ERA!
MONDAY, JUNE 26 GAME UPDATE: at Wausau Woodchucks…. 5 Ks, 5 innings in a 1-0 loss.  TOUGH ONE!!
MONDAY
, 7/3, GAME UPDATE:  at Kenosha …..Simon entered the game with a 1.31 ERA and only allowed 3 hits and 1 unearned run in 5 innings for a 2-1 win over the Kingfish
SATURDAY, 7/8, GAME UPDATE:  at Battle Creek…..Simon pitched 5 innings, 3 hits, 7 strikeouts and only 1 earned run in a 2-1 win over the Bombers.
FRIDAY, 7/14, GAME UPDATE: at Lakeside…..Simon earned the win with 5 shutout innings & allowed only one hit and struck out 9. Final score:  Mallards-10, Chinooks-0
