Central States Regional Tournament
By winning the State Senior Baseball Championship on July 15, WMLL’s Senior Division team advanced to the Central States Regional Tournament in Peru, IL where they are representing the state of Wisconsin. Other participants in the tournament are teams representing Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio & the tournament host Illinois District 20. Teams play four pool games prior to being seeded. Seeds 1-6 advance to a single-elimination bracket in order to determine the tournament champion.

Wisconsin (WMLL) earns two-seed & bye to semifinal game
Wisconsin (WMLL) won three of their four pool games, beating Illinois District 20 5 – 2, Iowa 9 – 3 & Missouri 15 – 4 before losing to Illinois 7 – 10. Based on this strong performance, Wisconsin (WMLL) received a two-seed, giving them a bye into the semifinal game on July 25 at 10 AM against Illinois District 20. The championship game is at 3 PM on July 25. CONGRATULATIONS & GOOD LUCK!!

WISCONSIN (WMLL), 5 vs. ILLINOIS DISTRICT 20, 2 (July 21)
Max Hoeser started for WISCONSIN and earned the win. Hoeser pitched 2 1/3 hitless innings. Kole Kerkhoff allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in relief. Kyle Murphy and Henry Severson each doubled for WISCONSIN. Kerkhoff, Steve Callahan, Coleman Robbins and Hoeser each added a single. Two WISCONSIN runs scored on an error. Nathan Hachenberger started for DISTRICT 20 and took the loss while giving up 3 hits and walking 2. Alex Lenkaitis and Drew Castelli each had 2 singles for DISTRICT 20.
WISCONSIN (WMLL), 9 vs. IOWA, 3 (July 22)
Andrew Olson started for WISCONSIN. Olson allowed 2 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks. Max Hoeser allowed 1 hit in relief. Kole Kerkhoff earned the win in relief allowing 1 run on 3 hits and striking out 4. Hoser and Noah Chistenson each doubled for WISCONSIN. James Jefferson started for IOWA and allowed 5 runs on 5 hits and earned the loss. Jordan Graves and Austin Spencer combined allowed 4 runs in relief on 2 hits and 2 walks. Zachary Truii and Russell Channon each had a double and single for IOWA.
WISCONSIN (WMLL), 15 vs. MISSOURI, 4 (July 22)
Spencer Frey started for WISCONSIN and allowed 4 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks. Matt Mello earned the win in relief allowing no runs 0n 4 hits while striking out 5. Mello doubled and singled for WISCONSIN. Henry Pitsch also doubled. Kole Kerkhoff and Matt Hoeser each added 2 singles to WISCONSIN’s total of 11 hits. Austin Welch started for MISSOURI and allowed 9 runs on 5 hits and 8 walks and took the loss. Trevor McQueen allowed 6 runs on 6 hits and 6 walks in relief. McQueen doubled and singled for MISSOURI. Quentin Murphy also doubled.
