PRESIDENT, Tom Heneghan
Board member since October 2005 / current term expires in October 2020
Tom joined the board 13 years ago and finished serving his 7th year as President in 2014. He has stepped up to the plate again and volunteered to serve as President in 2017-18. He has two daughters who played WMLL Softball and a son who played WMLL Baseball. Tom is an attorney for the Husch Blackwell law firm in Madison. Tom is married and has coached both baseball and softball at WMLL at all levels. He has also served for many years as VP-Softball and on the Softball Committee and coordinated the Softball Rookie, Minor and Major Lgs, as well as the WMLL Commemorative Brick Program. Tom will again be working with umpire training in 2018.
VICE PRESIDENT-BASEBALL, Harry Miller (past president)
Board member since October 1994 / current term expires in October 2021
Harry is the longest tenured member of the board, having served over 20 years. He has filled a variety of positions in the organization, including President, VP-Baseball, Baseball Operations Committee chair, Umpire Coordinator and Tournament Team Coordinator. Harry has also coordinated several of our special events, such as Little Lg Night at the Brewers and the WMLL 50th Season celebration in 2008. He is married and has two sons who played at WMLL and a daughter who managed the concession stand for a number of years. Harry is retired from the Wisconsin Historical Society Archives and has coached at WMLL in all levels of play. Harry has also coordinated the Fall Ball Junior and Senior Lgs and the regular season Pacific,Badger and Senior Leagues. He is the recipient of the 2012 Vern Ruhle Little Lg Volunteer of the Year award, as presented by the Wis. District 4 Little Lg staff.
VICE PRESIDENT-SOFTBALL, Scott Fossum
Board member since August 2018 / current term expires in October 2020
Scott coached softball since Fall of 2017 at West Madison including minors, majors, and the U10 Tournament Team. Scott’s wife Danielle is a team rep every season. Together they have three daughters – Sophie, who plays Major League softball; Story, who plays Minor League softball; and Ruby. Scott works as a web developer on the eCommerce team at Full Compass Systems.
TREASURER, Bruce Perchik
Board member since October 2017 / current term expires in October 2020
Bruce is excited to contribute to WMLL over the next couple of years as he assumes the duties of Treasurer in 2018. Bruce has been involved with coaching or assisting his son’s teams from Atlantic to Badger Leagues as well as two tournament teams. He and his wife, Barb, have one son who has also been an umpire for WMLL. Bruce appraises commercial real estate and has been employed with the D. L. Evans Company since 2002.

Kraig Bodie
Board member since March 2019 / current term expires in October 2022
Kraig started coaching in the Rookie League in 2018 and is now working up through the Atlantic League as his boys get older. Kraig played Little League in Northern Minnesota, so he is excited to have his kids play on the beautiful fields at WMLL. He is married and has two sons that will both play in WMLL for years to come. Kraig has worked for Regus as an Area Sales Manager since 2014 and assists companies of all sizes with office space locally and globally.
Todd Conkey
Board member since October 2018 / current term expires in October 2022
Todd and his wife have two sons at WMLL and have been involved with the league for over three four years. Todd has head coached regular season & tournament teams and his sons have volunteered for the Challenger League. Todd works at the Wisconsin Foundation & Alumni Association in Madison, is active in the community & has served on numerous boards. Todd’s volunteering includes Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation, Working Capital for Community Needs, and Thoreau Elementary PTO. Todd was selected as 40 under 40 for In Business Magazine along with being an alumni of Leadership Greater Madison. He also founded an endowment called Leadership Legacy at Madison Community Foundation with some of his classmates of LGM.
Sean Michael Dargan
Board member since October 2019 / current term expires in October 2022
Sean Michael Dargan is a professional singer, songwriter, guitar player, and highland bagpiper. He also loves baseball (no, really, he LOVES baseball), and has played a lot of it in his 51 years… still does, in fact. He enjoys coaching as well, both adults and kids, and is two seasons into coaching his son, Liam, now in minors. Let’s play two!
Katie Johnson
Board member since August 2020 / current term expires in October 2021
Katie has been supporting WMLL softball for the past six seasons. Her older daughter Everly will be a Major League player this fall, and her younger daughter Meredith is excited to finally be eligible for Fall Ball and her first Rookie League season. Professionally Katie has a marketing and journalism background, and currently works as a writer and editor for CTC & Associates LLC in Madison.
Frank Lenoch
Board member since October 2007 / current term expires in October 2020
Frank is a long-time member of the WMLL family having coached four sons through the program. He assumed the role of Central League Coordinator in 2007. In 2011, Frank took over the role of Major Lg Coordinator. The crowning jewel in Frank’s coaching career came in 2009 when he served as the head coach of the WMLL Senior Tournament Team that advanced to the Senior Little League World Series in Bangor, Maine! Frank has also served in a number of other roles including game scheduler and Major Lg Coordinator for the WMLL Fall Ball program. Frank is married and has had all his sons play at WMLL. He continues coaching in the Senior baseball league during summer.
Mark Newburg
Board member since October 2005 / current term expires in October 2021
Mark has primarily served as the Pacific Lg Coordinator and Uniform/Equipment Coordinator for the Fall Ball program. He moved into the role of Central Lg Coordinator for 2014. Mark has also been the lead contact for WMLL’s “Night at the Mallards” each year in June. He is married with two sons, both of whom played at WMLL. He has coached at all levels of the program, including tournament teams. In addition to his WMLL activities, Mark volunteers as the Coordinator of the Memorial Tri-County Basketball program, is a member of the West YMCA’s Program and Membership Committee and serves on the National W Club’s Hall of Fame Nominating Committee. Mark is the Sales Manager for Gard Specialists.
Mark Schauder
Board member since October 2017 / current term expires in October 2022
Mark will serve with Harry Miller as the League Coordinator for the Pacific League. Mark has been active with WMLL as a coach since 2012 including several tournament teams. He has two sons playing baseball in WMLL and a wife Kathleen that is his Team Coordinator. He has also coached his sons in the Spartan Football program through Madison Memorial High School. Mark is in his sixth year in the Sales Department at CUNA Mutual in Madison.
Jerry Schmitt
Board member since October 2014 / current term expires in October 2020
Jerry assumed the duties of Badger League Coordinator for the summer program and Fall Ball Coordinator for Junior and Senior League. He has been a coach in the league since 2008, including several tournament teams. He is married with two sons and a daughter who have played and currently umpire at WMLL and have been buddies in the Challenger Lg the past several years. Jerry is Vice President of Planning and Survey at KL Engineering, Inc.
Robb Vogel
Board member since October 2018 / current term expires in October 2021
Robb has coached baseball teams at WMLL since 2014 at the Atlantic, Minor and Major levels. He has also coached WMLL Tournament Teams at the U10 & U11 levels. Robb & his wife have a son who has been a part of WMLL as a player since 2014 and served as a volunteer for the Challenger League. Robb works at Madison Property Management as well as sports radio host and play-by-play for Badgers Hockey.
Barry Vredenbregt
Board member since October 2015 / current term expires in October 2021
Barry was elected to the Board in October 2015. He has been involved with baseball for most his life as a player, umpire, coach, official scorekeeper and broadcaster. In the last 10 years, Barry has been active with WMLL as a baseball and softball coach in virtually every level as his son and daughter both played in the program. Barry is also the former commissioner of the Wexford Area Baseball League, a tee-ball and coach-pitch league on Madison’s far west side. He is married and since 2001 has been a reporter at the Wisconsin State Journal.
Ex-Officio Board Members
Bill Battista, past Board President
Bill began his WMLL involvement as a coach in 1995 and was elected to WMLL’s Board in 1999. During his time on the Board, Bill served as the President, the Vice President for Baseball, the Major League Coordinator, the Board Liaison to District 4 Little League, and the chair of a number committees. Bill became WMLL’s first Executive Director in 2008 and served in that position for ten years. Bill initiated the fall Challenger League and was its league coordinator from 2009 thru 2014.
Brian Beutter, Executive Director
Brian became WMLL’s Executive Director in April 2018. He was elected to the Board at the 2017 Annual Meeting and has served as a League Coordinator, Marketing/Website Coordinator, Sponsorship Coordinator, Safety Officer & Softball Master Scheduler among other things. Brian has coached WMLL softball every regular and fall season since 2016, is currently a Major League softball coach and was the head coach of WMLL’s U10 softball tournament team in 2017 and 2018 & an assistant coach on the U12 team in 2019. His daughter Ocean plays Junior League softball & is a WMLL umpire, his daughter Sky plays Minor League softball, and his wife Sabrina is a head coach for Minor League softball.
