Players are placed into leagues based upon their Little League age as follows. In special instances, however, some leagues may also consider parental requests, player skill level & the number of registrants. Click on each league name for additional information.
Rookie League = 7 & 8-year-olds
The league is designed to teach the very basics of the game to new players. The major emphasis will be to have fun while learning basics and foster a love for the game for future years.
Minor League = 9 & 10-year-olds
The league is designed to develop the player’s defensive and offensive skills and understanding of softball strategy from the perspective of different positions. A primary emphasis will be on the individual’s enjoyment of the sport.
Major League = 11 & 12-year-olds
The league is designed for players looking to advance their skill levels as the competition gets better. The coaches will draft their teams.
Junior League = 13 & 14-year-olds
The league is designed for players who want to further develop their skills in order to play high school softball. The league will generally follow high school rules with some modification and should be both competitive and entertaining. The coaches will draft their teams and positions will be determined by skill.
Senior League = 15 & 16-year-olds
Most league players will have played on a high school team or will, in the future, be playing interscholastic softball. This league is designed to continue a player’s preparation for a high school. Individuals will become more specialized in the positions that they will play and participation time will vary. This program is offered only if there is enough player interest.
