WMLL is a people-dependent organization. It takes a lot of work both at & away from the field to make WMLL the special place that it is & to provide our players with everything they need to grow & have fun.
There are countless ways to volunteer at WMLL – both on & off the field. The list below contains the most common opportunities, but others can be found based on your interests & skills. Volunteering is helpful, rewarding & fun!
OPPORTUNITIES FOR KIDS
To get more information about or volunteer for any of the following positions, contact the person(s) listed below.
Challenger League Buddy – one per Challenger Lg player / 5 week commitment in September

Umpire (Paid Position) – 2 during spring/summer games & 1 during fall games

Special Event / Special Project Helper – as needed at special events (e.g., Home Run Derby, Movie Night, etc.) or for special projects (e.g., school carnival host, ballpark painting & repairs, etc.)

SINGLE DAY OPPORTUNITIES
New in 2023 WMLL is using SportsEngine and there is a volunteer management system called DIBS. Look for more information and instructions on how to use DIBS as the season nears. Here are some volunteer opportunities that we have had in past years and likely you will see them in DIBS.
Concession Stand Helper (click HERE for duties) – one per home team per game
Scoreboard Operator – one per visiting team per game
Coach Helper – check with your team’s head coach if they need help in the dugout, at practices, etc.
Fall Ball Base Umpire – one per team per game
Spring Clean-Up Day Helper – one per team
Special Event Helper – as needed at special events (e.g., Home Run Derby, Used Equipment Sale, Movie Night, etc.)
Special Project Helper – as needed for special projects (e.g., ballpark painting & repairs, ballpark grounds work, etc.)
SINGLE SEASON OPPORTUNITIES

Head Coach – one per team / season long commitment
