1/29/2024 Update: WMLL Scholarship applications being accepted for the spring/summer 2024 season. The T-Mobile Call-up grant described below is no longer taking applications so to proceed please read below and contact WMLL so a scholarship coordinator can work with you on eligibility and next steps to get registered.
The first step in the process is to read this webpage to see if you think you might qualify and are interested in scholarship assistance. Once you have determined that you want to seek scholarship assistance, please contact WMLL’s Executive Director, Ben Stuart, at executive.director@wmll.org to get setup with a scholarship coordinator who will walk you through the program and application process. At any point along the way you will be able to work with your scholarship coordinator to answer any questions you may have.
T-Mobile, a partner of Little League, again had a Call Up Grant Program to help families in need pay their Little League registration fees. They were accepting applications from January 11th 2024 but as of the end of January their funding is gone and are no longer taking new applications.
Qualifying families will receive a debit card worth $150 from the T-Mobile program to use toward little league registration. In these cases, WMLL will cover the remaining portion of the registration fee for a net $0 out of pocket to families
As indicated above, if a family qualifies and receives a $150 debit card from the T-Mobile program the remaining portion of registration fees are covered by WMLL.
Now that T-Mobile program funds are gone for 2024, your next option is "WMLL-Only" scholarship support to families needing financial assistance to pay registration fees. In this case, families will pay a reduced rate of $90 for spring/summer season and will receive a WMLL scholarship covering the remaining portion of registration fee.
It is with the support of WMLL Sponsors who donate money to the WMLL Player Scholarship Fund that we are able to offer these programs.
To be eligible for a WMLL scholarship and/or T-Mobile grant, a family must qualify for a financial assistance program such as BadgerCare, FoodShare (Wisconsin's SNAP), Medicaid, W-2, WIC, etc. Your scholarship coordinator will work with you to determine eligibility.
WMLL considers special requests for financial assistance from (1) families who need support but do not meet WMLL scholarship eligibility requirements & (2) families that are unable to make the minimum scholarship payment.
