Uniforms & Equipment

ITEMS THAT WMLL PROVIDES TO EACH PLAYER:

  • Jersey
  • Cap
  • Socks (spring/summer season)

Coaches will distribute team uniforms shortly prior to their team’s first game.

ITEMS THAT WMLL PROVIDES TO EACH TEAM:

  • Catcher’s Gear & Mitt
  • First-Aid Kit
  • Balls
    • For softball, ball type varies by league: Rookie = 11″ softie, Minor = 11″, Major, Junior & Senior = 12″

ITEMS THAT EACH PLAYER MUST PROVIDE:

Note: WMLL can provide support to scholarship players that need assistance in obtaining the critical gear listed below.

  • Bat
  • Athletic Supporter & Protective Cup (for all males)
  • Water Bottle
  • Socks (fall season)
  • Baseball/Softball Pants (any color is acceptable)
  • Batting Helmet (helmets with face masks are required in Rookie & Minor baseball & all softball leagues) – WMLL can arrange a loaner for families needing assistance
    • C-flaps & helmet attachments must comply with Little League rules (HERE)
  • Mitt
  • For baseball, bats MUST comply with Little League regulations (HERE)!

    • Senior League: Bats must comply with BBCOR standards
    • Junior League: Bats must comply with either USABat or BBCOR standards
    • Rookie, Minor & Major Leagues: Bats must comply with USABat standards
  • For softball, bats need only be a softball bat

    • Note: It may be possible to borrow a bat from a teammate or coach

OPTIONAL ITEMS THAT PLAYERS MAY LIKE TO HAVE:

  • Cleats – rubber cleats only in Rookie, Minor & Major Leagues, steal cleats are only allowed in the Junior & Senior Leagues
  • Safety Glasses (for players requiring glasses)
  • Mouth Guard
  • Ball (for home use)
  • Eye Black
  • Equipment Backpack or Bag
  • Sliding Shorts
  • Fielder’s Face Mask (softball only)
  • Batting Gloves
